How Jesus Socialism differs from Political ideologies of Communism?

 Jesus versus Marx

It's true, Jesus is the real founder of early socialism; however, Jesus socialism is nothing like modern socialism or communism.

First of all, Jesus socialism does not include the government, neither forces anyone.  It's absolutely voluntarily. 

Jesus focus on the poor, widows and orphans, while Marx for example focus on the proletariat (the worker who lives from wages).

Jesus doesn't pretend to solve the problems of the poor, he alleviates their situation and offers them hope.  This allows the poor to lift himself up.

Jesus feeds the hungry, heals the sick, and teaches everyone who comes to see him.

Communists countries like Cuba, offer free public education at every level, food as long as the country can afford to provide for everyone more or less equally distributed, and offers free healthcare in similar conditions to everyone.  Doctors for example, travel to underdeveloped regions to offer their service and so teachers to make sure that all the population have similar or equal opportunities.

Early Christians used to gather in communities where they shared everything.

There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales,

And also Acts 2:44-45

As you can see, this is a form of popular communism coming from the people, not from government.

The communism of Marx is only implemented from the government standpoint.  It starts by replacing the current government into a total new system where the people surrender all their individual rights in exchange of equal distribution of the nation's resources.

People will loose their right of speech, their religious right, right to inherit or to leave inheritance to your children, right to private property, right to private education, right to freely assemble.  In cases, you even loose your right to live.  The government can kill you, legally.

Is it worthy? Honestly, I don't think so.  But, it's socialism of the people worthy?  By all means!

Capitalism is like living paying retail and socialism is like living paying wholesale.  True socialism that benefits the people without loosing your democratic rights, must come from the bottom, rather than from the top.

People should organize and commute in larger homes, cook common meals, educate their small children in small communities and older children in larger communities where people share the expenses and have the control over their communities.  The government can help by protecting such community and help them to grow.

In other words, people can save and increase their power by sharing resources on their own.  Those who have more, do good by sharing with those who have less.

This is what Christians are called to do, but obviously, we keep ignoring the call.

The only way a Socialist government can succeed while keeping people's rights is through the acceptance and active participation of the majority of the population.  If people agree, including the rich, a Democratic Socialism becomes the ideal form of government.

Why should people agree into some form of wide-spread socialism?

The world is literally changing. In our modern digital era, and now even Quantum era, every old technology is turning obsolete.  Now, it seems to be our turn for obsolescent.

We humans are at the brink of becoming obsolete as workers.  We won't be needed for too long.  This means, not enough future jobs for all of us.

What can we do to survive?  Some form of socialism that guarantee an income for everyone is the solution.

And the worst part of this reality is that I am not talking about a distant future.  This is already happening.  

 You hear that companies can't find employees to fill service positions.  This sounds very unreal.  However, we all know that the big media can make us believe whatever they want.

I noticed in my neighborhood that the township stopped collecting the recycle trash for over two weeks after Covid19.  Then, when they finally started collecting the recycle trash, instead of three workers, they had only one driving a mechanical truck that collected the garbage on its own.  They only needed a driver.

And, guess what?  Autonomous cars are already there.  At any moment, they could find a way to replace the driver too.  And don't think that this doesn't apply to you because you have a college degree.  Computers are learning to program themselves, to give legal advice and prescribe medicine.  We are no longer indispensable.

We need to find the form of socialism that is good for all of us.  We need to keep our rights of free speech, free assemble, protect ourselves and more than that, the right to an income even when we can't find a job because there won't be too many jobs.
