True Democracy is socially concious.

Democracy is simply to hold the government power in the hands of the masses. This sounds great! The problem with this is the level of education and responsibility displayed by the masses. In order to vote with conscious and certainty; people need to be properly educated to understand the implications related to their vote.

Voting should be taken as a hiring process where all the voters display their opinion over the candidates.  It's impossible to predict the effectiveness of a new hire when there is no clue of what performance and projections is expected from the new recruit.  Choosing a government is likewise.

This is why education must be priority in every developed country.  Perhaps you might say; educated people can be dangerous when they differ in ideas and backgrounds.  Apparently this is true; however, smart people are more likely to end up with the best consensus.  

It is much easier to explain something to someone smart and to convince them of doing the right thing than to someone lacking of intellectual maturity.  It's like trying to pore soup into a broken plate.  The broken gap in this case is the missing education.  It's not impossible to fix this individual; but it would be extremely hard once the person is already grown up.

The reality is that everyone receives some form of education during their lifetime whether it is academic or not.  The big difference is that academic education is methodical and systematic which makes it more effective.

It's like setting up a house in an organized way rather than placing the materials in disarray.   The house properly arranged will look better, be stronger and suit its purpose while the other one; probably not so much.

Our children should be educated in every possibility while we train them to think for themselves.  Smart people might argue a lot; but surely, they don't physically fight each other.

Eventually; these smart individuals will get tired of arguing and will invent protocols to pursue their objectives without the agitation of fighting.  Dumb people instead will escalate and kill each other.

It's never wise to distract education from the young in hope to silence them.  Smart folks are either very good people or evil people with very good manners.

To achieve true Democracy; people need to be socially educated and socially conscious.  There is no other way.    Lack of education and opportunities only brings poverty and crime.  It's a waste of humanity that often ends in stupid wars.
